The four transactions handled here
Registration Renewal is the one most people come in for, and it is done at the counter during normal opening hours rather than at a DMV branch. Title Transfer covers the paperwork when a vehicle is bought or sold, signed by all parties and submitted to the state. Other States Transfer is for people who have moved to California and need a new title and registration processed. Lien Sale is the legal route for disposing of an abandoned or unauthorised vehicle, which means the notification, the filing, and the public sale carried out under state regulations.
What to bring, and why prices are not printed here
Bring the renewal notice or the title, photo identification, and whatever the state sent you, even if you are not sure it is relevant. Fees are quoted at the counter rather than on this page, because the amount depends on what the state is charging for that specific transaction on that day. Call ahead if you want the number before you drive over.
